Early Tunbridgeware Girdle Pincushion C1800

This early Tunbridgeware, or painted whitewood, double pincushion is formed from a circle with the cushion inside. It’s pre-dates the tessare and stickware Tunbridgeware, dating to around 1800. It still retains the original black silk ribbon and little label which says “The Gift of a Friend”. It’s about 1 1/2″ in diameter. Stock Ref: sc4376
